As the 2018 Workplace Campaign comes to a close we would like to thank our champion RBC who have raised over $250,000 in the last 10 years. Locally, RBC has been supporting United Way SIBC by coordinating a Workplace Campaign for over 15 years!

It comes as no surprise that RBC has been a dedicated partner of United Way SIBC for so many years. RBC’s Corporate and Employee Social Responsibility is to help support local community service agencies and United Way SIBC community initiatives through their campaign. By supporting United Way SIBC, RBC is continuously successful in fulfilling these responsibilities. RBC’s Workplace Campaign contributions help to support over 50 United Way partnered agencies serving the diverse needs of children, youth, families and seniors in their communities. This years engagement from RBC staff on campaign was outstanding, leading to six presentations with various RBC employee groups, on behalf of United Way SIBC.

RBC has also been a proud supporter of United Way SIBC events. From participating at our Central Okanagan Kickoff Breakfast to entering a highly spirited team in the United Way Pulling for my Community Bus Pull, RBC’s commitment to United Way SIBC helps run successful fundraising events for the community. Through their sponsorships and support, RBC demonstrates what it means to show your local love.

In addition, RBC partnered with us on the CODEanagan initiative, providing crucial funds of $11,800 to support disadvantaged youth connecting with the tech sector.

RBC’s commitment to United Way SIBC stretches further by having multiple employees as members on our Community Investment committee as well as having Ray Warren, Vice President Commercial at RBC, involved with our Resource Development committee. A huge thank you also goes out to Nola Lagace, Commerical Account Manager at RBC, for sitting, as co-chair, on the GenNext Board of Directors.United Way SIBC also received a grant from the RBC Future Launch program that helped to support the creation of CODEanagan.

Last but not least, RBC is an avid volunteer group attending Days of Caring. The RBC Mortgage Group donated time and talents at Arion Therapeutic Farm last May.

Thanks RBC and staff for your continued support. RBC’s workplace campaign donations, corporate and sponsorship support and volunteerism, help ensure United Way SIBC is able to target investments where they are most needed in our region’s communities.
